Cooking Stew

 Cooking is a critical part of any Sims life (except the Monarch who can usually have their Servant to do it for them). Sims must eat at least once everyday or they will starve, which is the perfect motivation to learn how to cook.

Unlike other games in The Sims series, there is no cooking skill in The Sims Medieval. All Sims can use pots, ovens, and spits to cook food, but require the proper ingredients to do so. However, the simplest foods - gruel, flat bread, field rations and roast rat - don't require ingredients and can be made at any time.

Nearly every building includes a place to cook food, most often a fireplace pot.

Large meals have four servings and take twice as long to spoil as single meals from the same category. Their buffs usually provide focus similar to single meals with the same duration. All foods in a category generally have similar bonus ranges, durations, and spoil times. Deer Jerky is unique in that it, like Field Rations, does not spoil; you can always keep some handy for a small boost to focus.

The pricing used is based on sell prices from the inventory drop box. These prices are based on the standard game price, with no influence from aspect, merchant, trait, or anything else. The prices in the store are not always going to match the price offered from the drop box. The large meal prices are listed as a whole with individual portion prices in parentheses.

Boiled Foods (Cauldron)[]

Boiled foods provide moderate bonuses for a moderate amount of time; They spoil fairly quickly and the bonus will wear off before your Sim becomes hungry again.
