People are born with both light and dark sides. Some cannot overcome their baser nature; others dare not try. But heroes are defined by overcoming adversity; a difficult path, but the rewards are great indeed. Who shall discard the imperfect trappings of everyday life and seek to become a legend?
Self Improvement is the only approach to the quest Fountain of Legend and costs 3 QP to start. It can be completed by any Hero, except the Monarch, that has a Fatal Flaw, (excluding Guild Enemy). Unlike other quests, this quest is dependent upon the Fatal Flaw of the Hero, not the Hero's profession.
Bloodthirsty[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Bloodthirsty - "The streets will run red with blood!"
- They will have to "Brawl with Someone to Appease the Blood-lust" 3 times.
- They will have to drop a blood offering from a fist fight down the well.
- They will have to be "Looking for a Fight" to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Blood" for the riddle.
Compulsive Gambler[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Compulsive Gambler - "Impossible odds? Care to make a wager on that?!"
- They will have to challenge someone to a game of cards at the table.
- They will have to make a large bet at the table.
- They will have to bet all of their clothes at the table.
- Cheat with "Lucky" dice at the table and then throw it down the well as an offering.
- Get the "Gambling Itch" buff to prove their flaw.
- The answer to the riddle is Luck.
Cowardly[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Cowardly - "S-s-sometimes I even s-scare myself."
- They will have to feed the beast three different times
- They will have to drop a teddybear down the well.(You can get this by "searching for teddybear", e.g. a bed, a wardrobe and stuff like that)
- They will have to have the "Afraid of Dark" debuff when they return to the forest
- They will have to answer "Fear" to the riddle.
Cruel[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Cruel - "Woe onto anyone who stands in my way, or even those who don't."
- They will have to argue with a child 3 times.
- They will have to spit on 3 innocent people and collect their tears to throw down the well.
- They will have to have the "Pent up Anger" debuff when they return to the forest
- They will have to answer "Kindness" to the riddle
Cursed[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Cursed - "What's the point, when I'm already doomed to fail."
- They will have to drink a Luck Potion three different times.
- They will have to make an offering of two more Luck Potions.
- They have to feel Cursed. (Making a Small Wish at a well will cause this)
- Answer "Luck" to the Fountain's riddle.
Drunkard[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Drunkard - "I'LL TELL YOU WHEN I'VE HAD ENOUGH!"
- They will have to "Get a Drink" 3 times.
- They will have to drop either a "Sweet Wine" or a "Mulled Wine" down the well.
- They will have to have "Get Sloshed" to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Wine" for the riddle.
Fool[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Fool - "A fountain? A mountain. I'm countin' on a routin'."
- They will have to hunt for Snipes in the cave.
- They will have to find magic beans in the Judgement Pit.
- They will have to have the "Befuddled" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Knowledge" for the riddle.
Glutton[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Glutton - "There's a meal in this for me if I help, right?"
- They will have to "Have a Meal" 3 times.
- They will have to drop a Sweet Swordfish (Large) down the well.
- They will have to be "Stuffed" to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Fish" for the riddle.
Hubris[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Hubris - "It's tough being superior to everyone... but I manage"
- They will have to "Check Themselves Out" in a mirror 3 times
- They will have to drop a hand mirror down the well.
- They will have to be "Blinded by Hubris" to prove their flaws.
- Choose the answer "Mirror" for the riddle.
Insecure[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Insecure - "Why would anyone want me to go on a quest?"
- They will have to "Fish for Compliment" 3 times.
- They will have to drop Elixirs of Allure down the well.
- They will have to have the "Lonely" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Beauty" for the riddle.
Insomniac[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Insomniac - "You can count on... Zzzzz..."
- They will have to "Nap" 3 times.
- They will have to drop a "Nap Time Tea" sample down the well.
- They will have to have "Can't Sleep" to prove their flaws
- They will have to answer "The Night" for the riddle.
Licentious[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Licentious - "I need something to quench my burning loins."
- They will have to "Kiss" 3 times.
- They will have to drop the undergarments of someone they just WooHoo'd with down the well.
- They will have to have the "Dry Spell" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Love" in the riddle.
Misanthrope[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Misanthrope - "I'll go as long as I don't have to deal with other people."
- They will have to "Find Solitude by Hiding in the Cave" 3 times.
- They will have to drop the Hold Key from the Ship down the well.
- They will have to have the "Hates People" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will need to answer People on the riddle, to get a legendary trait.
Morose[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Morose - "All this bother better be worth it."
- Wear the necklace found in your Sim's inventory. They shout at the sea 3 times.
- They will drop the necklace down the well.
- They will need to visit the docks to mourn a lost one (for the moodlet).
- They will need to answer "Despair" to get the legendary trait.
Puny[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Puny - "No heavy-lifting of physical exertion involved, is there?"
- First they will have to read 'Heroic Tales of Daring Do' 3 times.
- They will have to drop the book Heroic Tales down the well.
- They will haveto have the "Sore" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Strength" to the riddle.
Uncouth[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Uncouth - "Sure a magic fountain is interesting, but so is pulling my finger."
- They will have to "Break they Wind" at a sim 3 times.
- They will have to drop leavings from a chamber pot down the well.
- They will have to have the "Rude" debuff to prove their flaws.
- They will have to answer "Courtesy" to the riddle.
Weak Constitution[]
If the Hero has the Fatal Flaw of Weak Constitution - "I'm not sure I'm well enough to undertake this quest."
- They will have to "Drink a Weak Curative Potion" 3 times.
- They will have to drop two Weak Curative Potions down the well.
- They will have to have the "Slight Cold" debuff to prove their flaws. (You can get this by handling the pigeons in the Messenger Post or enduring a cold bath at any tub)
- They will have to answer "Plague" to the riddle.
