The kingdom's Renown is a measure of how (in)famous it is in the world at large. Renown is mainly earned by completing quests, but can also be gained from random events (e.g. defeating pirates at sea rewards the kingdom with 10 Renown). After a quest is completed, the kingdom will gain Renown equal to the amount of Resource Points earned from the quest. Renown never goes down, even when the Resource Points are spent.
Renown has four major effects.
- At 50 Renown, the kingdom will automatically get a Reception Hall.
- At 60 Renown, the territories of Aarbyville, Ticktop, and Yacothia will be open to an alliance, trade, and annexation.
- At 160 Renown, the territories of Advorton, Burdley, and Snordwich will be open to an alliance, trade, and annexation.
- At 160 Renown and at least 8 Security, walls are guaranteed to be built.
High levels of Renown are required for the 'Fame' and 'Efficient Expander' Ambitions.
