Can someone confirm or disprove that Witch is back quest is available in final game.

Turning one long list into several shorter lists.[]

After the addition of the approach column, it has become apparent that this list is going to be very long. So, I want to break it up into smaller lists, a lot like the list of spells just was. The catergories I purpose are Free Quests, Mini-Quests, Short Quests, Regular Quests, Epic Quests, and Annex Quests. These are based on QP cost, expect for the Annex Quests.

However, I'm fairly sure someone else can think of a better way of catergorizing quests (or even better names for the catergories). Don't hesitate to pitch your ideas or tell me I'm wrong. --Flamedrome 20:33, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Why don't we start with obvious ones first and leave the rest as "other/unsorted". "Annex Quests" will be pretty obvious as a group. So are the two 0QP special quests, which can be joined by the tutorial quest as "Special Quests". If we want, aspect-dependent quests (like those which only appear when some aspect is very low) can be a group of its own as well. The rest (mini/short/epic) are somewhat blur in specification so I have no good suggestions towards them, but we can always leave them in the main unsorted list until we find another good group to split out.
And I propose that we make the first col (quest) spans rows which are approaches of the same quest, which may make the table easier to read. (seeing the quest column repeat itself is ... tiring?)

Well, I initially wanted to sort the quests based on their Quest Point cost, that's what the mini/short/epic was. But, if you want to be more specific, then Special Quests and Annex Quests are a given. Then, all the Legendary Quests could be sorted together, and Quests with the same general aspect reward could be sorted together as well. --Flamedrome 01:20, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
I'm proposing that we sort by conditions by which quests appear. The other aspects like quest point or legendary trait or not is ambiguous as I think people may have different means of classifying them, but conditions by which quests appear is an "existential test" and is less subjective. Obvious ones will be some which are mentioned: territory annex (appears only after allying), the Free quests (appears after ambition ends), tutorial (only available at the start and will disappear after two quests if not chosen), the Aspect-related quests (those quests with a little exclaimation mark on an Aspect icon, indicating that the quest only appears when that Aspect is very low). This way, the user can easily check whether the kingdom qualifies for a quest or not (and work towards those conditions if conditions not met). As for the other distinction, I am proposing that we use sortable, like that used on some tables on Equipment page. So that people can easily sort according to name, qp cost, aspect reward (I propose we split up aspect reward into 4 columns, where positive number is bonus, negative number is penalty for each of the 4 aspects, so that it is more sortable, we can have a separate column for the visual Plus IconWell-beingWell-beingCultureCultureKnowledgeMinus IconSecuritySecurity thing). This will remove the possibility of us forcing a subjective form of classifying on all players, and let them sort the table to their own heart's content. How about it?

I feel like that might turn this list into the buff list, where the list is too long to fit on the page. But let's try and see. --Flamedrome 02:39, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

More Categories[]

There's another low Well-Being quest, "Royal Assasination", where the Spy/Physician kill the Monarch. I've never done it, because the Monarch is based off me. I also think the Legendary Trait quests like "Seven Mechanical Arts" should get their own category as well. In addition, the allied territory quests should get their own category, but none are listed. UBFunkaneer says "That's what a gentleman does." 02:15, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Notes and Corrections[]

"The Rise of a Playwright" is titled simply "Rise of a Playwright" in-game.

"The Witch is Back" and "O Fortuna" are paltry aspect quests.

"War Games" mentions a Legendary Trait is available, though in the Approach description instead of the Quest description. Haven't played through that one yet though.

No idea why "Jacobans Day Out 2" isn't showing up in the Special Quests section after publishing as it looks fine in preview. 4.230.153.186 12:58, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
