Rollback privileges are nothing more than having an easier way to undo vandalism, bad-faith edits etc. View the requirements section below to see if you eligible, remember these requirements are not set-in-stone, they just help to add to why the bureaucrats should bestow the rollback rights upon given user.

Main reviewer: Woganhemlock (talk)

Rollback Yes Open to requests.

These requirements are not set-in-stone

  • Have anti-vandalism history.
  • Be friendly to all users
  • Have at least 25 edits, and not just on your userpage.
  • Abide by the rules and guidelines.

Start a Level 3 header with your username and describe why you should be given rollback rights. A bureaucrat will then review your request and decide whether to give you the rights or not.

Current Requests

Please remember when the user is the one who requests it isn't needed to vote, because requests are bureaucrat decisions, nominations are community consensus, of course you can express your opinion but when it comes to requests they will not strongly affect the results. Thank you. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 23:29, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

Closed Requests

Greetings. I have been on this wiki since the game was published. At this moment I have about 140 edits, mostly of editing/formatting nature. I am also active on some other wikis. Chabbrik 12:03, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

I did some checking. You got some very good quality edits in all. If you don't mind, and please do not take this as me being unfair (points down), I would just like to see how you do on those other Wikis. Please provide me a link and we'll be set to go! --Zombie talkblog 15:59, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
Until now, I was not a very active editor, so I do not have much history to share.
I did a bit of editing on TSW:
Also I did a bit of editing on Fate of the World wiki: Chabbrik 16:13, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
Looks good. And your edits here look of top notch quality. Support. Thanks for the links! --Zombie talkblog 16:28, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
Request approved. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 13:53, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hello. I've made about 691 edits here, 117 edits on The Sims wiki, and a total of 824 edits on various other wikis. I'd like to be given rollback permission mostly as a prerequisite for adminship, so that I can help set up and run TSMW.--Bunnyboi 14:08, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Neutral. While you do show that you can work hard, I am a bit hesitant to support you if the biggest reason to get it is to get adminship. --Zombie talkblog 14:46, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
What's wrong with wanting adminship? I want to help the wiki as best as I can and I've already been considered for adminship by several users here. I still need the prerequisite, is all.--Bunnyboi 14:49, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
It's not that it's wrong. But rollback is supposed to be a button that you are given and users have a time to see how you use it to stop vandalism. I will support you if you would allow a month before requesting adminship. --Zombie talkblog 14:52, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough, but then I won't be able to help Spheris with setting up interwiki linking or clearing out the candidates for deletion.--Bunnyboi 14:54, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
One admin can handle clearing out the candidates for deletion, which I'm happy to do, and I'll ask the same thing of Spheris, if he applies too. If you want, please wait only 2 weeks. The thing is, I want to see how you work with vandals before you request adminship, is all. --Zombie talkblog 14:59, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Actually, this seems a little arbitrary; unless an opportunity to use the rollback function arises within the month or two weeks or whenever, I'd be just as knowledgeable about it then as I am now. If you want to see how I handle vandals, you can easily check my contributions both here and on TSW, where I've dealt with a few.--Bunnyboi 15:02, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Well, you do remove the vandalism, but you don't seem to report the users to admins, which is the correct thing to do. So... that, plus some other things, makes me stand at support with hesitation. Zombie talkblog 15:07, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Considering there were no active admins here to report the users to, I think I can be forgiven for not reporting bad edits. In addition, how a user handles vandalism is looked at during requests for adminship, not rollback. I think you're being a little harsh on me mainly because you still see me as a "selfish" "(consensus) zombie" who "interrupted [your] plans." I can understand being mad, but I'd appreciate it if you were a little more objective and fair.--Bunnyboi 15:12, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not being too harsh on you. Not at all. I'm over that, though disappointed that our readers will have some issues. If I wanted to say that, I would. I am not being too harsh on you. I'm not asking anything too difficult. Now, I'm not changing my support for you becoming a rollback, though rollback is counter-vandalism, and should be looked at here, so that we don't have to look at it at RfA as much. Zombie talkblog 15:20, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I think you're being harsh, mostly because you're asking a little more than was asked of you for the same request. Or asked of anyone, actually. There doesn't seem to be any waiting period between becoming a rollback and requesting adminship.--Bunnyboi 15:27, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
No, I didn't ask this much for others, though I have the right to ask questions and to receive answers. Currently, you are making accusations, while I'm asking for you to please show me what you do with vandalism and how you would work with the rollback button. So, please stop accusing me, and convince me to support you. I cancel my support back to neutral. So, I ask you one final question and that is to give me any links to Wiki's you have rollback on. Thank you. Zombie talkblog 15:34, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I am making accusations but I'm not getting any real answers to them, just avoidance and denial. I think it's safe to accuse someone of being harsher-than-normal when they ask questions and make requests that no one else needed to answer. For example, why do I need rollback on other wikis when this wiki is independent of them? None of the other rollback candidates needed to prove they were rollbacks on other wikis. I meet all the requirements listed for rollback privileges here and I don't feel making up new ones is fair behavior.--Bunnyboi 15:40, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
You have also not given me really good answer to how you handle vandalism. I'm asking for links so that I can see how you have used them on other Wikis. The other people who requested I have seen, and if I asked them, they would have given me a good answer. So, I ask you again, stop making accusations at me, to which I am giving you answers but for some reason you think I am not. The thing is, you want me to say I am being harsh. I am not being harsh. I am asking because I don't get answers. And I promise you, and I'm not trying to threaten you, I do not want any more accusations made from you at me or anyone else, and I'm saying that as an admin. So, I ask you again. Are you a rollback on any other Wikis so that I can receive an answer? I'm not saying you need to be, just asking. Zombie talkblog 15:46, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
The keyword being "if I asked them," which neither you nor or anyone else did. I don't think I appreciate that kind of special treatment. In any case, the answer is no; I'm not a rollback on any other wiki, though I don't see how that factors in to how I handle vandalism here.--Bunnyboi 15:50, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
See? Was that so hard? I asked you a question and you answered it. Well, the problem is, you were treated slightly specially, and up to this point you made an argument which lead nowhere. Here and There are very similar; most people handle vandalism almost exactly the same on every Wiki they are on. Now, I remain neutral, and I am stopping this pointless argument right here. Neutral is my final vote. Zombie talkblog 15:56, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I answered the question when you asked it, yes. You'll notice before that you didn't actually ask the question, merely demand that I give you links to wikis I have rollback on, simply assuming I had them. I didn't have any links to give, so it's only natural that I point out that nobody else did either.--Bunnyboi 16:00, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
See? Going back to the argument again. I told you that is my vote, so stop. I am not going to defend myself as through the argument there is proof of you over-reacting and making accusations, and I have more things to mention. Now, I ask you to stop with the argument once and for all. Thank you. Zombie talkblog 16:04, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
This discussion is going to stop right now, more attacks and accusations or both of you will receive blocks! For now I'll wait to see the community answer to this request. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 08:44, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
Neutral. Initially I would support the notion, but in my opinion heightened privileges should come with maturity and sense of responsibility, which this discussion showed to be lacking. I respect Bunnyboi as contributor, however admins should demonstrate restrain and cool head, something that was not demonstrated here.
On the other hand it is difficult to show how one stopped vandalism on this wiki, given its youth and lack of blatant vandalism (I personally check out all the updates regularly and have not seen any obvious vandalism here). Chabbrik 08:54, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
I don't want to sound argumentative (if that's what I'm coming across as), but I feel I should defend myself from objections to my request. I don't see how my discussion with BobNewbie showed any lack of maturity or responsibility. Every point I made was valid, clearly written, and said with a calm tone. I wasn't making personal attacks or baseless accusations, merely pointing out and wondering why I was being treated specially.--Bunnyboi 09:45, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
Bunny, I have told you more then once why you were treated specially. I wanted to ask you if we could work something out. You took that as a personal attack and blamed it on something, and kept coming back to the argument, not at all giving me the answers I asked for once. You don't lack maturity, but you do show some problems with answering questions and leading away from a pointless argument. Now, I see I am pointing back at the argument which I feel I need to. But, I do say that there are still plenty of reasons why you should become an admin. Zombie talkblog 15:56, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
You'll notice that the only straight question you asked during the argument was "Are you a rollback on any other Wikis?", which I answered immediately. In addition, I've read the argument several times and I still don't see any answers to why I was treated specially.
Was it because I mentioned I needed it for adminship? I said the same thing on Guilherme Guerreiro's talk page. The wiki isn't in need of many rollbacks but needs more admins.
Was it because you didn't think I could handle vandals? You wanted me to show you how I handle vandalism and how I'd work with the rollback button, which I couldn't do other than show you my contributions, which I mentioned. We haven't had any true vandals here, but I've undone some edits here and I've undone vandalism on The Sims Wiki. I only didn't report edits here because there was no one to report them to at the time and only didn't report them on The Sims Wiki because I forgot, having been used to The Sims Medieval Wiki.
You agreed that you didn't ask this much from others but, instead of giving a reason why you were asking this much from me, simply said you had the right to. This didn't make the whole thing come across as a "random luggage search" but rather me being singled out for questioning.
No matter how many times I read it, I can't see any reasons. Can you tell me the reasons straight? I was never trying to make you admit to being harsh, I just wanted you to explain why and, not knowing that, I had to come up with my own reasons.--Bunnyboi 12:06, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Can you not understand that all I wanted was to know if you were good with handling vandalism? That's what rollback is for. Now, here is why I treated you specially; Because the other users who I supported I know from The Sims Wiki because users from The Sims Wiki created this one. I know that they know how to do it. So, I don't know how you do it, and wanted to ask you. You gave me an answer about the month thing, but I wanted to work something out with you so that we could see how it goes. I did want to support you, but the way you start an argument in an immature way has made me think twice. You were treated differently but not unfairly, nicely, actually. Now, you admit to making accusations, and yet you deny starting and fueling an argument. If you just kept calm, which I don't see why you would do otherwise, this whole thing could have been avoided. Now, this is going to stop. It's getting on my nerves and I think you also want to stop. Zombie talkblog 13:38, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure about this request. I'll have to see more input on here. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 13:59, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
While this request has been granted, I hope not to see more hostile behavior from you, like what you have been doing on here, otherwise your rights will be automatically revoked. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 14:09, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for accepting my request, but I feel both of you have wrongly cast me in a bad light, acting as if I was hostile and immature (even though BobNewbie himself said I wasn't lacking in maturity at all). As I said before, I kept - and still do keep - my calm about this. I only wanted answers to questions I felt needed answering; nothing immature, hostile, or uncalm about it. Again, thank you all for your support and my acceptance.--Bunnyboi 15:09, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
You've been saying that for the whole time. You acted wrongly, with no calm at all. You fueled an argument when asked to stop. Now, and I am again saying this as an admin, this whole thing stops now. Congrats and all, but even now that you've got what you wanted you continue. This thing stops now, with no "winner" of the argument. I will give a template warning to the next user who restarts this argument, as it's disruptive. Zombie talkblog 16:13, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Bunnyboi and BobNewbie stop pushing yourselves to this argument, this, sincerely, won't get anywhere and both of you may lose with this - such as being blocked. So please stop this argument before it's too hard to handle. Thank you. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 17:52, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
=p that's what I said to do. lol. Zombie talkblog 18:50, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

I'm requesting rollback permission because I think that A) I can make good use of it and B) I think I will make good use of it. The first is rather obvious; it's a convenient way to revert vandalism. As for the second, I've already made quite a few edits to the wiki and in doing so have reverted some vandalism already (e.g. on Judgement Zone). I've read the rules and guidelines, and have been friendly in my (admittedly limited) interactions with other users. All in all, I'm committed to putting good content into the wiki and to take vandalism out of it, which rollback permission would be a useful aid for. DarwinSighs 22:38, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

I agree. I'm giving you rollback rights and I'm going to hope you return to the wiki somday - we need contributors like you! ~>ђ tคlк 10:30, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

I'm fairly new to TSMW, but I think that I have made a large positive contribution to the wiki, I have created some high demand wanted pages, I have about 100 edits and I am #9 on the user achievement board. I am a part of a few other wikis, but not greatly, as nearly all of my edit contributions have been here. I haven't come across much vandalism here, but would like the privilege for when I do find some vandalism, as I would like to help keep this wiki accurate and vandal free. Carkid345 16:02, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

You show potential and we need good editors. Approved. ~>ђ tคlк 01:26, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
