The Sims Medieval:Woohoo

In The Sims Medieval, WooHoo can be performed as part of the Romantic interactions. It can only be performed on double beds and in tents. A female sim can become pregnant after WooHoo. There is no specific "Try for baby" option in The Sims Medieval, as in other sims games, so all heterosexual WooHoo has the potential to result in pregnancy.

Pregnancy lasts only about 2 days in contrast to 3 days from the main series, and during this time the female sim will have a gradually swollen belly, and will walk like a heavily pregnant woman even from the first day.

Warning: Pregnant sims cannot fight, so it's possible that your quest perfomance will suffer, if it requires you to fight someone.

Requirements for wooing

  • "Romantic interaction" only appear in interaction menu, if both the hero and the target know each other (i.e. talking to him/her once).
  • If you have the "knighlty" trait and are married, romantic interactions will NOT appear on other sims than your hero's husband. So you must divorce first, if you want to woo someone else.
  • In order to woo someone, you must use romantic interactions with your partner, until the appropriate option appears in romantic interactions. Important are first kiss, as well as any other form of kissing.
  • If the target doesn't want to be wooed, you must further increase your relationship with him/her through romantic interactions (you can also use other interactions, but then the woo option might disappear and you need to kiss again).
  • The woo option will be greyed out, sometimes. If you mouse over it, the game will tell you why. For example, both sims must be inside a house and 2 person bed most be available.

Avoiding problems

Even if they start, wooing WILL fail, if one of the following is true:

  • A Sim is sleeping in the bed.
  • One side of the bed is inaccessible (like bed is too close to a wall, an object is there or other sims are interacting with each other, like sword fighting childs).
  • One of the two sims is interrupted (like arrested or hungry), while going to the bed.
  • Wooing will not start, until the room is empty, so it's a bad idea to place the monarchs bed in the throne room, for example. After going into bed, other sims will leave the room automatically. They might return, if there are many objects in the room with the bed, they can interact with. So it's best to place the bed in an empty room.

Effects

  • Female heros receive the buff "Pregnant", which has no duration and gives +10 focus (it disappears, when pregnancy ends).
  • They also get the debuff "Backache", which lasts for as long as they are pregnant and do anything.
  • See Children.
  • Pregnant heroines cannot partake in dangerous activities, like jumping into the pit or any kind of fighting.
  • So female knights, monarchs and spies cannot challenge anyone to a duel or threaten them for money.
  • They will not fight back, when threatened by a thief for money.
  • Sims also cannot start fist fights (which is bad for fatal flaws like Bloodthirsty, because their debuff cannot be removed).
